Voodoo Grape + Lando Norris Review
I was heading to one of my girlfriends' places for Valentine's day, and I encountered two flavors I hadnt encountered. So heres a review
Voodoo Grape:
Art is somewhat iffy, seems a little exoticized, and the flavor text also feels somewhat exoticizing of voodoo practices. this is roughly what i expect from Monster at this point.
tab is a nice deep purple, i think thats new. Base color of the can is a nice yellow-green that contrasts really nicely with all the purple accenting.
color is a vibrant purple. smell is like artificial grape soda, welch's and such. tast is the same. carbonation is moderate, about where it tends to be for juice monster. i liked the mild from the bad apple monster, but this make sense. its going for grape soda and hitting the mark. 9/10, losing one point on lack of originality.
lando Norris:
I thought this pone wasnt distributed in the US, but i guess it is. textured black monster logo on the smooth charruse background is nice textural variation, and i do like the leopard print patten. flavor text is as masturbatory as the doctor's, we'll see if it deserves it like that one does. this o ne is zero sugar.
scent is a crisp citrus, color is pale green, echoing the can design. flavor is fascinating, almost a cucumbery-bannana territory. still has that classic monster citrus touch. I like it, but its certainly a bold choice in flavor, one i wouldnt expect Monster to go for these days. their recent flavors haved bee in pretty coherent and well-tread categories, imitating msotly flavors of existing natural juices. i half expect their next can to be a cola at this point, though I wouldnt necessarily be against it. overall, a bond direction to go for Monster, and one I respect. 8.10, not a fan of banana.
